STAY
The mirror reflects their love … And something else ... Something that doesn’t want them to stay together.
MEET THE FILMMAKER
SYLVIA DOUGLAS (she/they) is a filmmaker from the Canadian Prairies whose films explore grief, liminality, and queerness. Their formal education is in Literature and Arts Management, later transitioning into filmmaking through community learning.
Sylvia has written, directed, and produced four short films and has had the pleasure of working with other artists in Edmonton. They are currently writing a feature-length horror screenplay.
Stay is a one-minute silent micro-short film directed by Sylvia, Corinne Simpson, and Greg deJong. Conceptualized by Simpson when writing tweet-length horror stories, the creative trio adapted the idea to screen, with Sylvia leading direction and editing.
